What we do

In pursuit of our mission of promoting and empowering the voices of people with disabilities in voting matters and policy debates we will:

  • Focus on issues that significantly impact the health and wellbeing of people in the disability community
  • Increase the visibility of people with disabilities, their abilities and special needs
  • Conduct outreach and education about disability issues in order to encourage participation in the political process and improve lives
  • Educate people with disabilities about their voting rights, voter registration and voting strategies
  • Provide training and support for people with disabilities on how to engage with elected officials and hold them accountable for the issues that most impact our community
  • Collaborate with like-minded organizations in order to demonstrate that disability is no respecter of persons
  • Encourage people with disabilities to run for office at the local, state and federal levels
